Credit Points and the QCE

To receive a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE), high school students must complete a minimum of 20 credit points in years 11 and 12.


A minimum of 12 credits must come from completed Core courses of study and at least 1 credit must come from Core studies completed while enrolled at a school. The remaining 8 credits can come from a combination of Core, Preparatory, Enrichment or Advanced courses.

Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses undertaken at school contribute the following credits:
