First Aid and CPR
This short course describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. It applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Refresher training in CPR should be undertaken annually and first aid qualifications should be renewed every three years.
Duration: All study at DIVTEC is self-paced. Our First Aid and CPR course requires students to complete pre-learning material online before attending a one-day practical workshop. We anticipate that the majority of students will complete this course within 1-2mths.
Entry Requirements: There are no formal entry requirements for this short course. However, all students will be required to complete language, literacy and numeracy activities upon enrolment. You will need to demonstrate a sound ability to read, write and understand the English language and use everyday mathematical problem solving strategies.
