HLT43015 - Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
This qualification reflects the role of workers who provide therapeutic and program related support to allied health professionals. Students will learn to conduct activities under the guidance of an allied health professional such as an Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist or Physiotherapist. Duration: All study at DIVTEC is self-paced. We anticipate that the majority of students will complete this course within 12mths on a part-time basis.
Entry Requirements: There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, all students will be required to complete language, literacy and numeracy activities upon enrolment. You will need to demonstrate a sound ability to read, write and understand the English language and use everyday mathematical problem solving strategies.
You will be required to complete 120hrs of vocational placement to achieve the practical aspects of the course. Practical placement can be arranged with DIVTEC host employers or another approved workplace.
Units: 16 units - 7 Core and 9 Electives. A combination of electives can be chosen to provide students with a specialisation. Options include:

- Speech and Language Therapy
- Community Rehabilitation
- Nutrition and Dietetics
